About our Neighbourhood

Getting AroundWe live in a quiet setting on 2 acres, but very convenient to Newcastle (8 minutes), Castlewellan forest (5 minutes), Royal County Down golf course (8 minutes), the Mourne mountains, Murlough nature preserve, one of the largest sand dunes in Europe (8 minutes). You can see Dundrum castle, Legananny Dolmen (look it up, older than the pyramids), Tollymore Forest (5 minutes) (many scenes from Game of Thrones shot here, including the opening scene of the 1st episode!).

Getting Around

A car would be best, but there is taxi service to Newcastle and beyond. If you need transport from Dublin or Belfast airport, we can arrange chauffeur service. If you need help or ideas on how to get around, just ask.

With our three rooms, we can accommodate up to 6 adults, there are two bathrooms.

Check-in: from 15:00 until 22:00

Check-out: from 08:00 until 11:00

This property will not accommodate hen, stag or similar parties.

Please inform Drumee Lodge boutique B and B, Newcastle, County Down in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation.

Guests will receive a rental agreement which must be signed and returned to the property prior to arrival. If guests do not receive the agreement on time, they should contact the property management company at the number on the booking confirmation.

Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.

The units provide views of the garden and come with a seating area, a washing machine, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, and a private bathroom with bathrobes and a hair dryer. An oven, a toaster and stovetop are also provided, as well as a coffee machine and a kettle. At the bed and breakfast, every unit has bed linen and towels.
